AP Biology Assignments
This is an overview of the order and emphasis of topics for the 2009-2010 AP Biology curriculum.

AP BIOLOGY ANNOUNCEMENT:
This week is PLANT WEEK
We will view plants in the same way we looked at animals:
  • Chapter 10: Photosynthesis & the Reading Guide. -- how do they make energy and macromolecules (metabolism)
  • Chapter 37: Plant Transport & the Reading Guide -- what systems do they need to support metabolism
  • Chapter 35: Plant Form & the Reading Guide -- how do they function and grow; what do they do with the energy and sugars they make
Also, the sap is running in the trees, so we've got to go out and tap the maples in front of the school to make maple syrup. We get to siphon off the fruits of the plants labors -- that sugary sap!
