- How large is the gene? (in bp)
- In what organ is this gene expressed? What is the function of the protein produced by this gene?
- Why is this gene refered to as "proinsulin precursor"?
- EXTRA CREDIT: What is the function of the signal peptide in this protein?
- How large is the protein produced by this gene? (in aa)
- Print out the entire amino acid sequence of the protein (using the single letter aa code).
- Scan through the genomic sequence and comment about how much of the gene is intron and how much is exon.
